HOLT STATEMENT ON COURT RULING ON NSA DOMESTIC SURVEILLANCE PROGRAM

Washington, D.C. -- (Washington, D.C.) - Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ) issued the following statement in response to U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor's ruling that the Bush administration's use of the National Security Agency to conduct domestic surveillance is unconstitutional:

"The judge has affirmed what I have maintained since I learned of this program from the press late last year: that our fight against our terrorist enemies can and must be done within the confines of the Constitution and the law."
