A Nation Reflects on the Fifth Anniversary of September 11th

Washington, DC - Rep. Tom Price (GA-06-R) issued the following statement regarding the 5th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

"Today marks the fifth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. It is a time of great reflection. On this anniversary, our nation grieves for those who were taken from us on that day. We grieve for those who have lost their lives since in this great struggle, and we look to a future of peace and security."

"During the events of that fateful day, we saw the courage and the measure of the American spirit that our enemy sought to destroy: the brave men and women who charged into the towers in New York and the Pentagon and the passengers on Flight 93 who chose to stand up and fight not only for themselves but for the countless others on the ground whose lives were spared. From the moment the attacks began, Americans answered the call."

"We remain confident in the fortitude of America's will. We remain committed to our role as a beacon of freedom and a defender of those ideals against any enemy who wishes to deny any person their freedom."
