Congressman Fitzpatrick Honors America's Working Men and Women

LEVITTOWN -- Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick joins in the nationwide Labor Day celebration of America's workers.

"Labor Day is the one day we set aside to remember the accomplishments of working men and women - and to acknowledge the American worker who built this nation through hard work and personal skill.

"It was America's working men and women who set records of productivity that helped our nation achieve the high standard of living rivaled worldwide. On this occasion, I am proud to join all Americans in acknowledging their great contributions to the success and prosperity of our nation," Fitzpatrick said.

"And because of their leadership, we continue to enjoy job growth and increased economic opportunities in the Commonwealth and 8th Congressional District.

Congressman Fitzpatrick noted he was "proud" to vote to increase the minimum wage in July, the first such increase in nearly 10 years. "As a member of Congress, I will continue to advocate on behalf of all working men and women and the issues that matter most to them," he said.
