Fitzpatrick Addresses Increasing Gang Violence in Bucks
Welcomes Chairman Frank Wolf to Meet With the Bucks County Security Threat Group Initiative

This morning, Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick welcomed Congressman Frank Wolf, the Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Science, State, Justice, and Commerce to Bucks County for a meeting to discuss the invasion of violent criminal gangs into Bucks County with members of the Bucks County Security Threat Group Initiative.

"Bucks County is known by its residents as a safe place to live and raise a family," Fitzpatrick said. "The rise in violent gang activity here runs counter to everything we stand for and it must be stopped. The Security Threat Initiative continues to do great work not only in identifying the gangs that are establishing themselves in our communities, but in stopping their spread and their reach."

The Security Threat Group Initiative was formed on March 23, 2006 by Bucks County Police Departments that represent communities along the Delaware River and representatives from the District Attorney's Office and the Bucks County Department of Corrections to deal with violent gang activity.
