Rep. Slaughter Salutes Olin Corp. for Upcoming Investment in Buffalo-Niagara

Rep. Louise M. Slaughter (D-Fairport), Ranking Member of the House Rules Committee, today applauded the Olin Corporation for the planned $6.5 million expansion of its plant on Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls.

"I'm really proud of Olin Corp. for deepening their already substantial investment in the Buffalo-Niagara region. This is the kind of corporate investment we need more of," Rep. Slaughter said.

"What we are seeing is all of our resources working together for the benefit of the people of Western New York.

"Olin gets cheap electricity from the Power Authority, and it gets expert labor from the more than 160 local residents it employs.

"This expansion is going to mean more jobs for our community, and as it goes forward, we'll see yet another local New York business continue to be a leader in its field."
