Lindeen Wins Strong Support From Montanans

Nearly 200 Montanans Contribute To Congressional Campaign In Less Than 10 Days

(BILLINGS, Mont.) - In the first filing period since she announced for congress, congressional candidate Monica Lindeen (D-Huntley) has raised over $30,000 in less than 10 days, according to campaign reports to be filed this week.

"I'm thrilled with the support my campaign is receiving from Montanans from Absarokee to Whitefish, Plentywood to Hamilton," Lindeen said. "I'll work hard to honor the commitment from the retail clerks, laborers, stockbrokers, software engineers, retirees and elected leaders who have invested in my campaign."

Contributors to Lindeen's campaign include Governor Brian Schweitzer, Senator Max Baucus' political fund, Attorney General Mike McGrath, Superintendent of Public Instruction Linda McCulloch, House Democratic Leader Dave Wanzenried, several other legislators and county elected officials, in addition to citizens throughout the state. She even received a contribution from a hydrologist that lives on Dry Gulch.

Lindeen said the broad and early support shows Montanans from all walks of life are eager to defeat Dennis Rehberg so the voices of ordinary Montanans are represented by the state's lone congressional representative.

"I've spent the last few years listening to Montanans in senior citizen centers, veteran and union halls, coffee shops and workplaces. They've told me they want leaders who will work hard for working families, veterans, seniors, kids and family farmers and ranchers," Lindeen said. "I can be that leader, in stark contrast with Dennis Rehberg who has lost touch with the needs of everyday Montanans."

Lindeen will be visiting Montanans in the Hi-Line and Golden Triangle areas in the next few days, and then will continue to visit with Montanans in their local communities.
