KUHL VOTES FOR VETERANS HEALTH FUNDS INCREASE

Representative John R. "Randy" Kuhl, Jr. today voted for the Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2007 which passed the House. The bill, which emphasizes health care and veterans' benefits, reflects Rep. Kuhl's commitment to ensuring that the needs of the brave men and women who serve our country are fully met.

"This is one of the most important votes I'll ever take as a congressman, to fund the veterans health system of the United States. This bill fully funds both the needs of our veterans and the needs of those currently serving in the military," Rep. Kuhl said. "It's critical that we keep our commitment to those men and women who have sacrificed so much to keep our nation safe, secure, and free."

"Randy deserves a lot of thanks for his steadfast support of veterans and veterans care facilities," said Rep. James T. Walsh (R-NY), Chairman of the Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee. "Veterans health care is critical to the 29th district with both the Canandaigua and Bath VA Medical Centers within its boundaries. This bill makes sure that Canandaigua and Bath are equipped and able to continue to providing quality care to our nation's veterans. I thank Randy for his help and support."
