Bono Votes to Improve Military Quality of Life

Congresswoman Mary Bono (CA-45) voted today to approve the Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2007. The bill, which emphasizes health care and veterans' benefits, works to ensure that the needs of the men and women who serve in the military are fully met.

"The strength of our national defense and interests of our men and women in uniform are a top priority of mine," said Congresswoman Bono. "Our nation's success requires a powerful military, which is achieved by providing our men and women in uniform with the resources necessary to do their job. I am fully committed to supporting responsible defense and military spending to give America's brave men and women the tools they need to protect our homeland and win the war on terrorism. I am proud that this measure works to the improve quality of life for both our active military families as well as those who have served this country in the past."
