"A government shutdown would cut off key nutrition assistance for Wisconsin families, interrupt pay for service members and law enforcement, and delay support for the small businesses that keep our state moving forward. No one wins in a government shutdown, and I joined my Democratic and Republican colleagues to vote to avoid one. We still have a lot of work ahead and I remain committed to passing responsible annual funding bills that support Wisconsin families, farmers, and businesses, lower the cost of child care and health care, take on the opioid and fentanyl crisis, and invest in workforce development to grow our Made in Wisconsin economy."
