Ken Calvert Tweets about Israel Aid Bill

A majority of the Democrat Caucus dealt us a setback today in our attempt to support Israel and our U.S. military in the region. The Israelis are in the midst of a struggle for their survival and a fight to secure peace by rooting out those responsible for the October 7th atrocities. Our troops throughout the Middle East are under regular attack from Iranian-backed terror groups, which have resulted in the deaths of five American heroes. Hamas continues to hold innocent people hostage, including eight Americans.

While I'm incredibly disappointed by my colleagues who voted against aid for our troops and our allies in Israel, I will not abandon these causes which are vital to America's national security interests. I am hopeful the House will once again consider this critical aid in the very near future.
