"Located on the Ohio River, the Shawneetown Regional Port District is a critical link for Southern Illinois in a region that's too often overlooked. With today's significant support, this port will have more of the resources it needs to update and develop its property, strengthening the nation's supply chain, supporting workforce development and expanding the economy in southern Illinois. I was proud to support this project and I'm pleased to see the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law delivering on its promise of improving our crumbling infrastructure in every corner of our nation."
