"For over 60 years, the NDAA has served as the foundation for our national security priorities. The bipartisan bill that was easily passed out of the committee earlier this year invested in the core of our national defense by focusing on our service members and their families, innovation and technology, allies and partners, and our defense industrial base and military readiness. The bill as amended, however, has allowed extreme MAGA Republicans to further their bigoted agenda for the benefit of their campaign coffers and at the expense of our national defense and those who serve. I look forward to working with Leader Jeffries and the Democratic House and Senate conferees to ensure the NDAA remains focused on our national security, national defense, and those who bravely wear the uniform of the United States."
