"It was an absolute privilege to welcome President Zelenskyy back to the United States Capitol and reaffirm House Democrats' unwavering support for the Ukrainian people.

When Vladimir Putin unleashed his brutal campaign of aggression against Ukraine, he thought the world would look away as he attacked a sovereign democracy.

He was wrong. Putin failed to realize the obvious: that Ukraine's fight -- the fight for freedom over tyranny -- would resonate around the globe and in the hearts of the American people.

Every nation must continue to play their part in preserving Ukraine's freedom, punishing Russia, and upholding international security. Alongside our allies, America must continue providing Ukraine with the resources necessary to defend itself and defeat Russia. House Democrats will never back down in the fight to preserve democracy and security -- at home and around the world."
