"The Grand Canyon is one of the natural wonders of the world and the ancestral home of numerous tribes. It is also an economic driver for Northern Arizona, generating millions of dollars from tourism and supporting thousands of jobs. It is vital that we protect this icon of our state and that we do so in consultation with the tribes who have called it home for countless generations. I applaud the Biden Administration for following the leadership of tribes and Members of Congress by designating the Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni -- Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument."
