Radanovich Hails House Passage of Education Bill

- Congressman George Radanovich (R-Mariposa) today praised the House passage of H.R. 609, the College Access and Opportunity Act, which would help more low-and middle-income students pursue the dream of a college education. The bill passed 221-199.

"This legislation deals with three important areas in higher education - access, accountability, and affordability," Congressman Radanovich said. "Access to higher education is critical to the success of our economy and our country, and this act provides significant benefits for the deserving millions of low- and middle-income students who want to pursue a college education. It strengthens the Pell Grant program, simplifies the financial aid process, and provides parents and students with better information on college costs so they can make more informed decisions."
