"From over-the-counter children's cold and flu medicines, to specialized, live-saving drugs for cancer patients, Americans have faced disastrous drug shortages. While there may be unique circumstances that affect the availability of certain drugs, there are often common trends among drug shortages. This hearing will give our subcommittee a chance to examine the root causes of shortages, as well as supply chain vulnerabilities in our pharmaceutical industry."
