Today, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) helped pass the Right to Contraception Act, legislation to protect women's right to make family and life planning decisions by accessing contraceptives. Rep. Maloney voted to pass and co-sponsored this important legislation, which will codify people's right to obtain contraceptives into federal law, as well as a doctor's right to provide such care.

"Family planning and reproductive healthcare are incredibly personal decisions that the government and politicians have no place in," said Rep. Maloney. "Today, we passed the Right to Contraception Act to enshrine the fundamental freedom to access contraception into federal law. I am proud to join my colleagues in standing up to GOP efforts to take away women's rights. We will not allow them to take our country backward."
