Rep. Williams' Statement on Democrats' Far-left Spending Bill

Congressman Roger Williams (TX-25) released the following statement following the passage of Democrats' Spending Bill:

"While Americans deal with the hardships of an economic recession, House Democrats have doubled down on their failed tax increase and Green New Deal agenda," said Congressman Williams. "Their plan is a direct attack on Main Street America and appeals to far-left climate activists at the expense of entrepreneurs and job creators. From expanding the IRS by 87,000 agents, subsidizing electric vehicles for the wealthy, and adding billions in new taxes on small businesses, the Democrats' out of touch policies will affect every American household and restrict our economic freedoms. Hardworking Americans can no longer afford the Democrats' radical tax-and-spend agenda and I adamantly oppose this reckless spending bill that will do nothing to reduce inflation but will instead add billions in new climate spending and exacerbate the economic stagnation in this country."
