Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania

Today, U.S. Representative Susan Wild released the following statement after the U.S. Treasury Department's finalization of the rule to close the "family glitch" in the Affordable Care Act (ACA):

"Since 2019, I've made it my mission to close the "family glitch," an ACA loophole forcing working families to pay higher heath care premiums. I sponsored legislation and led a letter to President Biden urging that he take swift action to eliminate this regulatory defect preventing nearly one million Americans from accessing affordable health care.

"The U.S. Department of Treasury has finally moved to close the "family glitch" once and for all. I am grateful to see this issue resolved, and it couldn't have come at a better time with ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment beginning on November 1."
