U.S. Rep. Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18) voted for H.R. 8373, the Right to Contraception Act, which codifies the right to obtain and use birth control, including oral contraception, emergency contraception, and IUDs.

"In his concurring opinion to overturn Roe, Justice Clarence Thomas explicitly called on the Supreme Court to reconsider the ruling of Griswold v. Connecticut, which determined the privacy-enshrined right to contraception," said Eshoo. "The legislation I voted for today protects the right to contraception and ensures every American has equal access to this essential health care, no matter where they live. Family planning is a personal decision, not a political one, and no legislators or justices should have a say."
