Rep. Barry Moore opposes Biden Administration attempt to force taxpayers to fund abortions

Rep. Barry Moore (AL-02) joined Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) in a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to demand answers regarding recent Department of Defense (DoD) policy changes that will lead to taxpayer funded abortions. DoD's memorandum entitled "Ensuring Access to Reproductive Health Care" contained several policy changes including a directive to misuse American taxpayer dollars to pay for military service members' travel costs to obtain abortions.

"This is a blatant attempt to circumvent the bipartisan consensus that has been in place for nearly a half-century that prevents the government from using taxpayer dollars for abortions," said Moore. "The Biden administration continues to abuse service members and treat our military as a radical social experiment, not as an effective fighting force.

"I will continue fighting to protect the unborn and standing against the extreme life-killing policies coming out of Washington. We must stop attacks on the sanctity of life at all costs."
