Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration with oversight over the Architect of the Capitol, released the statement below following the ratification of a new collective bargaining agreement between the Senate restaurant workers union and Restaurant Associates.

"Our Senate cafeteria employees are an essential part of the Capitol community, working tirelessly day and night to keep this place running. That's why, as Chair of the Rules Committee, I've fought to ensure that our cafeteria workers have a fair contract," said Klobuchar. "This agreement represents an important victory for Senate cafeteria employees that will provide these workers with better wages and benefits."
