Rep. Keller: We Need a President That's Going to Put America First

Date: Sept. 20, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

In case you missed it, Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) joined Mornings with Maria on Fox Business Tuesday morning to discuss House Oversight Republicans' investigation into the Biden family's business dealings, the President's plan to extend oil sales from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and the ongoing crisis at the southern border.

On investigating Hunter Biden's business dealings:

We want to make sure that the President doesn't have anything that would prevent him from making decisions in the best interests of the American people.

***

It's our job as oversight to make sure that the American people are put first…Let's really take a look at this and shine the light of transparency on the activities of Hunter Biden.

***

On the President's plan to extend oil sales from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve:

This is not what [the SPR] was designed for. What the Biden administration and Democrats need to start doing is embracing American technology and producing energy.

***

We had an [Oversight] Committee hearing last week where [Democrats] were trying to paint how bad American energy companies are but it's okay to sell oil to China and other countries?

***

On the crisis at the southern border:

I'd like to say thank you to Governors Abbott and DeSantis for making sure that the Democrats understand what an issue this is.

***

Americans are dying from Fentanyl overdoses--that's now the number one cause of overdoses--and it's happening to people all across our nation. Every town is a border town when you have this drug problem coming in here.

***

This year is a record of over two million [illegal aliens]-- that's more than the population of about 12 single states.
