Governor Kemp Joins GOP Governors in Opposing Democrat Tax Hikes

Today Governor Brian Kemp joined a coalition of fellow Republican governors in opposing Washington Democrats' proposal to raise taxes on the middle class in the midst of a recession created on their watch.

"Joe Biden's disastrous economic agenda -- championed by Stacey Abrams and D.C. Democrats -- has created skyrocketing inflation, runaway gas prices, and brought our country into recession," said Tate Mitchell, Press Secretary. "Joe Biden promised the American people he would not raise taxes, and now this middle class tax increase is a slap in the face to hardworking Americans who are doing everything they can to weather the economic storm caused by his failed liberal policies. Governor Kemp will continue to work alongside fellow Republicans to provide relief and ensure we stop this insanity in November."
