Rep Lieu Statement on Congressional Unionization Effort

Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after eight Congressional offices, including Rep. Lieu's, have filed petitions for union representation.
"As a proud original cosponsor of the resolution to grant House staff the right to organize and bargain collectively, I am pleased that our staff now have the ability to unionize. I have been a longtime champion of labor rights, having voted repeatedly for pro-union pieces of legislation like the PRO Act. Congressional staffers are hard-working and dedicated public servants and I support their right to organize, including for my own staff. Whatever our staff decides to do in terms of unionization, they will have my total support."
