"I want to take a few minutes to recap a few wins across the past year in Congress. THREAD:

We got a once-in-a-generation investment in infrastructure signed into law. For 40 years Congress couldn't get it done -- but this is going to create jobs and make our entire nation safer, stronger, and more connected.

We confirmed a tremendously qualified, brilliant, and independent Supreme Court justice.

After two years of work, we got my CHIPS bill passed & signed into law. It's a critical investment in semiconductor manufacturing aimed at creating jobs, strengthening national security, and easing supply chain snares that contribute to inflation.

No big deal or anything, but the Senate also just passed a bill to slash the deficit, lower RX costs, take bold climate action, and make our tax system more fair. This is the largest climate action EVER in America, and by some estimates, anywhere in the world.

We got the most impactful gun safety legislation in 30 years done. It strengthens background check requirements. There's funding for mental health resources and red flag laws. It closes loopholes for perpetrators of domestic violence.

We also got a huge expansion of benefits for veterans done -- I was proud to stand with this one every step of the way, because delivering for the brave servicemembers that have sacrificed so much for our nation is tremendously important.

The Senate also UNANIMOUSLY passed my bill to provide relief to those impacted by consolidated spousal loans -- including victims of domestic violence and abuse. This is something I've been working on for years, and we got it done.

And I worked to broker an agreement to make our election laws better and prevent a future event like Jan. 6. My hope is we'll take this up soon.

We pushed for justice for animals, too -- after our advocacy, federal agents raided an abusive beagle breeding facility and now 4,000 dogs are being adopted into loving homes across the country.

I don't want to minimize what still needs to be done: folks are still feeling the squeeze of inflation. My Republican colleagues delayed action on voting rights and on protecting access to reproductive health care. I'm going to keep working on these issues and several more."
