Trump Stumps for Palin in Anchorage

Date: July 10, 2022
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Issues: Elections

Donald Trump spoke to a capacity crowd during a "Save America" rally in Anchorage tonight, calling on Alaskans to "send the great, legendary Sarah Palin to the U.S. House of Representatives" to fill Alaska's at-large congressional seat, which was left vacant by the tragic passing of long-time Representative Don Young.

"Sarah, I'm here to say: I like you best," Trump said during his remarks at the Alaska Airlines Center, adding that she was "always a favorite of mine."

"There's no one like this woman," Trump continued. "She's loyal; she loves this state. She will be a true warrior for your state and for the country."

"President Trump, you are home," Palin said before leading the crowd in a chant of "four more years."

"I knew that President Trump would do what he campaigned on doing. Isn't that rare? A politician who actually does what he says," Palin said of her decision to be among the first Republicans to endorse Trump for president in early 2016. "He was the only one who had the balls to take on the fake media, fake news, and to take on Hillary Clinton -- and he did it for you. That's why I love him."
