Davis Statement On Report Of Dominion Voting Machines Vulnerabilities

Press Release

Date: June 3, 2022
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Elections

Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today issued the following statement on a new report from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) that highlights vulnerabilities in Dominion voting machines:

"This new report is alarming and Dominion must be held accountable for knowing about these vulnerabilities yet selling machines anyway. While there is no known evidence that these vulnerabilities have been exploited, it is unacceptable that testing didn't catch these weaknesses and that the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) has long delayed updating their requirements. This should be a wake up call to Dominion, the EAC, and every voting equipment provider that more most be done to ensure machines are secure and unable to be hacked.

"I'm thankful CISA has an eye out for these issues, and look forward to working with them to develop a better process. Unfortunately, the outgoing Majority has been unwilling to exercise the Committee's oversight authority by failing to bring the EAC before the Committee for the past three years. When Republicans once again hold the gavel there will be more transparency and accountability for the EAC, Dominion and CISA."
