Guthrie Celebrates $2 billion investment and 2,000 new jobs in Bowling Green

Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement after Envision AESC announced it is investing $2 billion and creating 2,000 jobs with a new electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant in Bowling Green.

"Bowling Green received incredible news this week with Envision AESC's decision to invest $2 billion and create 2,000 jobs in the community with a new EV battery manufacturing plant. Kentucky's Second District is becoming an EV battery corridor and a leader in manufacturing this technology. This historic investment will further boost the economy and the Commonwealth's workforce. I would like to thank everyone involved in getting this project across the finish line, including Judge Buchanon, Mayor Alcott, and Ron Bunch. With this new demand in skilled workers, I will continue to advocate for workforce development opportunities designed to provide a better future for Kentuckians and their families," said Guthrie.
