Reschenthaler Opposes Legislation Infringing Americans' Second Amendment Rights

U.S. Representative Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14) released the following statement regarding his vote on S. 2938:

"As a gun owner and staunch defender of Americans' constitutional rights, I proudly voted against the Senate's gun control legislation because this flawed bill will disarm law-abiding citizens, erode the Second Amendment, and trash due process rights afforded to all Americans.

"The overwhelming majority of gun owners in southwestern Pennsylvania and across the country are hardworking, law-abiding citizens looking to protect their families, hunt with their kids, or just put food on the table. Rather than limiting their constitutional rights and criminalizing routine firearm transactions, Congress must address the root causes of all violence, bolster safety measures in our schools and communities, and enforce existing laws that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and those who wish to do harm."
