The NLRB Keeps Playing Footsies with Unions

Press Release

Location: Washington, DC

Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on the National Labor Relations Board's decision to intervene in the termination of an Amazon employee in Staten Island:

"The NLRB is being used as a cudgel to allow the Biden administration to advance an agenda that hurts workers and job creators. By intervening in the recent case of a terminated Amazon employee, who openly harassed a fellow coworker, the NLRB has proven that it will put union interests above ensuring that employees remain free from harassment.

"The "government knows best' mentality is a farce--businesses must be allowed to ensure their employees are not subject to harassment, and unions should not be exempt from being held accountable for such behavior. Yet, this administration is arrogant enough to believe it knows best how to handle workplace matters. Workers and employers deserve better than a federal agency protecting outrageous behavior by a union. The NLRB's actions are downright pathetic."
