Representative Scott Franklin, a member of the Pro-Life Caucus, issued the following statement in response to the release of the Supreme Court's opinion on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health case:

"This landmark Supreme Court decision rights a fifty year wrong in defense of life. Roe was a clear overreach by the Court. Our nation was founded on the fundamental principle we are endowed by our creator with the unalienable right to life--a right that must be protected. For half a century, passionate pro-life advocates have worked on behalf of this decision. We celebrate together. I'm disappointed that a draft of the Dobbs decision was irresponsibly leaked earlier this year, leading to acts of domestic terrorism and violence across the country. I urge all sides to remain peaceful and respect the legal process in response to this ruling."
