Today, U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) announced he was ranked #18 on the Lugar Center and Georgetown University's McCourt School Bipartisan Index Rankings for Congress in 2021. The Senator has been laser-focused on delivering for Georgia families, especially when there have been opportunities to work across the aisle to get things done. The Senator worked closely with Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) to successfully include their Maternal Health Quality Improvement Act in the annual funding package; partnered with Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to pass a provision turning I-14 between Texas and Georgia into a high-priority corridor; and he has collaborated to include his $35 insulin costs cap in a bipartisan legislative proposal offered by Senator Susan Collins (R-ME). Additionally, the Senator has prioritized working across the aisle to achieve agriculture and forestry priorities, including bipartisan introductions of the Beagle Brigade Act, Farm to Base Food Security Act, and Disaster Reforestation Act.

"Senator Raphael Warnock hit the ground running in 2021 with the highest Bipartisan Index score recorded among the new Senators elected in 2020," said Dan Diller, policy director of The Lugar Center. "Senator Warnock demonstrated a strong commitment to bipartisan legislating by finishing 18th overall. When new Senators score that high, it is especially impressive because they had to develop their bill portfolio and establish bipartisan relationships from scratch."

"Every day I work with Democrats and Republicans to improve the lives of Georgia families and spur new economic opportunities in every corner of our state," said Senator Reverend Warnock. "I'm thrilled to follow in the footsteps of Georgia's bipartisan champions like Senator Johnny Isakson with this recognition, and I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues across the aisle to lower cost, create jobs, and improve the lives of all Georgians."
