U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) released a statement on his vote to approve defense spending amid Russia's attack on Ukraine.

"Throughout the war in Ukraine, the Biden administration has led from behind--waiting too long to provide too little support," said Senator Tim Scott. "With this defense spending bill, Congress is stepping in to send a clear message to Vladimir Putin and dictators around the world that the United States will not tolerate their bullying and aggression. American strength at home and abroad is the only way to ensure security and freedom for our people today and generations to come."
