Sarah Palin issued the following statement today responding to the announcement that President Trump will host a rally supporting her candidacy for Alaska's at-large congressional seat at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage on July 9.

"The hard working men and women of Alaska are committed to the goals of draining the swamp and making America great again, and it's a well-deserved honor for them to host the President on Alaskan soil.

"Our abundant God-given natural resources are critical to achieving American energy independence, and our culture of rugged independence reflects the best of what has always made America the greatest country in the history of the world."
