Eshoo Statement on Importance of Workers' Rights to Organize

Statement

Date: April 27, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Today Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18), Chairwoman of the Health Subcommittee, released the following statement:

"Every worker should have the right to organize and collectively bargain for better wages, benefits and working conditions, and during my entire career in public service I've fought to expand access to affordable health care. That's why I'm deeply disturbed by reports that nurses working on the front lines of the pandemic in my Congressional District, and their families, will lose their health insurance benefits on May 1st as a result of their decision to strike.

"This is wrong. I oppose any and all efforts to take away health insurance from workers and their families."
