HOEVEN ANNOUNCES MORE THAN $9.6 MILLION IN HEAD START FUNDING TO NORTH DAKOTA

Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Office of Head Start, has awarded Head Start and Early Head Start funding to the following North Dakota entities:

Minot Public Schools -- $3,997,560
Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency in Fargo -- $1,850,298
Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten -- $1,398,025
Early Explorers Head Start in Devils Lake -- $1,221,397
Community Action Partnership in Dickinson -- $1,179,895
"Today's funding will help ensure Head Start services and resources remain available to qualifying children and families in the Minot, Fargo, Devils Lake, Dickinson and Fort Totten communities," said Hoeven.
