Phillips Statement On Draft Roe v. Wade Decision

Rep. Dean Phillips released the following statement after reading a draft Supreme Court ruling that would overturn Roe v. Wade, threatening basic rights and access to health care:

"I'm among the nearly 70% of Americans who support the protections of Roe v. Wade. Our nation has never experienced - nor can ever accept - such a dangerous erosion of freedom, liberty, and privacy. We must codify it into law using every tool our founders afforded the Congress. The impending destruction of women's rights protected by Roe v. Wade is a direct result of recent changes to Senate rules. It's time to modify those rules again, abolish the filibuster, and allow majorities to effect fundamental representation."
