Today Representative Dina Titus, Chairwoman of the Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management, celebrated passage of the Safeguarding Tomorrow through Ongoing Risk Mitigation (STORM) Technical Corrections Act through the U.S. House of Representatives. The bipartisan legislation, which she led with subcommittee Ranking Member Webster, makes changes to the STORM Act which created a hazard mitigation revolving loan to help states and Tribal governments finance mitigation projects.

"I strongly support investments in disaster mitigation efforts as a commonsense way to save lives and property," said Chair Titus. "The STORM Technical Corrections Act passed by the House today makes necessary fixes that will improve the ability for states and Tribal governments to finance these efforts so their communities are better prepared for future disasters."
