Buck Slams Biden Administration on Ending Title 42

Today, U.S. Representative Ken Buck (CO-04) released the following statement after the Biden administration officially announced the end to Title 42, the Trump-era pandemic health measure at the southern border.

"The Biden administration continues to bow down to the whims of hard-left open borders activists. America's border towns and communities will suffer greatly from the enormous influx of people from around the world who will cross our southern border illegally as a result of this catastrophic decision. We are ever closer to the day when every town in America will become a border town. This policy must be reversed immediately," said Rep. Buck.

Background:

This announcement comes days after the U.S. Border Patrol announced more than 1 million illegal migrants were apprehended crossing the southern border, just six months into the new fiscal year.

Border officials expect to break that record in 2022, noting the U.S. is on pace to hit 2 million and with the end of Title 42 it could well beyond that.
