Rep. Katko Announces $3.8 Million in Federal Funding for Syracuse Community Health Center

U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) today announced $3,826,074 in funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been awarded to Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc. (SCHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves over 34,000 patients each year in Onondaga County.

This funding is available through HHS's Health Center Cluster Program, a program that provides funding for community-based programs that meet the healthcare needs of underserved communities. This award will support the continuation of SCHC's mental, dental, and primary care services. Since coming to Congress, Rep. Katko has consistently advocated for robust funding of HHS programs that support FCHQs in Central New York. Rep. Katko also supported pandemic relief legislation that delivered millions of dollars in emergency aid to local Community Health Centers, including SCHC.

"Today, I'm pleased to announce Syracuse Community Health Center has received $3,826,074 in federal funds from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)," said Rep. Katko.
