Congresswoman Plaskett Announces Grant for $1.3 Million Dollars for the Bureau of Corrections

Congresswoman Plaskett, a Member of the House Ways and Means Committee, released the following statement regarding a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility:
"I am very pleased to announce that FEMA is awarding $1,398,161.39 in federal funding to the Bureau of Corrections' Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility for permanent work to be done to the facility in response to damage by Hurricane Maria. Since the facility suffered extensive damages to its perimeter lighting during the storm, the funds provided will allow repairs to restore the facility to pre-disaster design, function and capacity.
