Sánchez statement on Biden Administration's decision to end Title 42

Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez (CA-38) today released the following statement after the Biden Administration announced plans to end the Title 42 policy:

"Today, the Biden Administration announced plans to officially withdraw the inhumane Title 42 order, taking another step toward his promise to build a more fair and humane immigration system," said Congresswoman Linda T. Sánchez. "The United States has always been a beacon of hope for those fleeing violence and conflict in their home countries. Along with my colleagues in the Hispanic Caucus, I have urged the Biden Administration to put an end to this cruel policy and strengthen legal pathways for refugees and asylum seekers.

"This announcement shows that the Biden Administration is committed to moving away from the cruel, ineffective policies of old and implementing reforms to leverage resources and personnel needed to safely manage our border. I will continue fighting alongside the Administration as we work toward that goal."
