Statement from Congressman Kildee on Support for Ukraine

Statement

"The bravery of the Ukrainian people has inspired the world. President Zelenskyy has exemplified tremendous courage leading Ukraine and it was an honor to hear his address to a joint session of Congress. Vladimir Putin continues to commit atrocities, and the United States must continue to take decisive actions to support the people of Ukraine without escalating this unprovoked war.

"Congress must act on additional sanctions to target all of Vladimir Putin's political allies. I have introduced bipartisan legislation to seize the yachts, mansions and private jets of Russian oligarchs, putting additional pressure on the Russian government and repurposing these assets to directly aid the Ukrainian people. I support the President's announcement of billions more in security aid to Ukraine. We must continue to provide military, economic, and humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people."
