U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Jon Ossoff (D-GA) secured over $500,000 to upgrade Georgia school buses.

The funding will replace 21 diesel-fueled school buses across Cobb, Dodge, and Fulton Counties with buses that meet updated emissions standards, reducing air pollution and ensuring Georgia students can get to and from school safely.

"I'm proud to champion investments that will green our yellow school buses and improve air quality for our students traveling to and from school, while also supporting good-paying jobs in Georgia," said Senator Reverend Warnock. "I will keep working to keep our economy strong and build a cleaner, more sustainable future for our children."

"These upgraded school buses will help Georgia kids get to school more safely and reduce air pollution. I'll keep working to deliver the best for Georgia's children," said Senator Ossoff.

Today's announcement is the latest step in Senators Warnock and Ossoff's continued work to ensure Georgia public school students have safe, modern learning environments.

Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Senator Warnock secured $5 billion based on his Clean Commute for Kids Act to transition Georgia's school bus fleet to zero to low-emission buses in order to improve the health and safety of children and Georgians statewide.
