Statement

Date: Jan. 13, 2022
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Elections

Today, Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) voted against Democrats, proposal to drastically change election procedure.

"I voted against Democrats' radical election takeover bill. It's vital to have basic safeguards such as voter ID requirements in our elections -- which a vast majority of Americans support," said Rep. Estes. "Instead of addressing rising prices, the supply chain crisis, or our lawless southern border, Democrats are working to remove critical voting processes within states like Kansas."

The bill passed the House 220 to 203 along party lines.
