Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, just called for the Biden Administration to stop importing all oil from Russia.

"Vladimir Putin launched an unprovoked, illegal, and illegitimate invasion of a sovereign nation and is waging brutal attacks targeting innocent Ukrainian civilians. Using multiple instruments of national power, the United States should immediately cut off all oil imports from Russia," said Congressman Zeldin. "There is no better time than the present for the Biden Administration to revisit our nation's energy policy, tap into the resources we have right here at home to ramp up our domestic production, and make our nation energy independent. The Biden Administration needs to push back on Russia where it hurts the most by cutting off its oil imports and preventing Putin from further expanding his corrosive influence."
