Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) released the following statement on the anniversary of President Biden's inauguration last year.

"Looking back on the past 12 months, several words come to mind: confusion, failure, disarray, pain, and dishonesty to name a few," said Rep. Hern. "Biden's presidency has been defined by empty promises; as a result, he has very few accomplishments.

"The unprecedented spending levels authorized under this Administration are unacceptable. The American people are suffering under record-high inflation, and Biden ignores it. Energy prices are soaring because of Biden's destruction of the domestic energy sector. The cartels have near-total control over our border and, as a result, fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans 18-45. Thirteen American families are mourning the tragic deaths of military heroes in Afghanistan, and Biden doesn't even know how many Americans remain stranded behind Taliban lines. Tensions along party lines have never been higher, despite Biden's promise to pursue unity. Crime rates are reaching levels unseen in decades. The workforce has been decimated by unconstitutional vaccine mandates. All this, and Biden said yesterday that he's outperformed expectations."

Rep. Hern concluded, "If this is Biden's vision of a successful presidency, the future is bleak. Fortunately, the American people will have their say very soon."
