Bill Johnson Statement on the Passing of Paul Brown

Statement

Date: Feb. 1, 2022
Location: Marietta, Ohio
Issues: Veterans

Congressman Bill Johnson (R-Marietta) released the following statement reacting to the passing of Zanesville resident Paul Brown:

I am heartbroken to hear the news that Paul Brown passed away earlier today. Paul was a fierce advocate for Muskingum County and served as the 5th president of Zane State College. I got to know him very well and was able to call him a friend over the last decade; he was a valued member of my 6th District Service Nomination Academy Board, helping to select the next generation of military leaders from our area. A distinguished Air Force veteran, Paul was also very active in the community, serving on various boards, including on the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority. The number of lives he positively impacted through his passion for education, military service, mentorship, and public service are innumerable.

I'll be praying for and thinking about Paul and his family tonight. He will be missed, but certainly not forgotten. Rest in peace, President Brown.
