Johnson Statement on Supreme Court Vaccine Mandate Ruling

Press Release

Congressman Bill Johnson (R-Marietta) released the following statement after the Supreme Court blocked enforcement of the President Biden's OSHA vaccine mandate for private businesses:

"The U.S. Supreme Court's action today blocking Joe Biden's vaccine mandate on private businesses caps off what has been a rough week for President Biden. The High Court's decision today -- ruling that the Biden Administration cannot enforce these sweeping regulations - is a big win for the rule of law, the American people, and the Constitution. I always believed it was unconstitutional; now, the Supreme Court has said as much, and the rule is unenforceable. Like I've said many times before, I've been vaccinated and encourage others to do so. But, the decision to get the vaccine should be between you and your doctor -- and Joe Biden doesn't get a voice in that decision. We've learned over the last two years that government mandates and lockdowns don't stop the spread of COVID, and we need to learn to live with this virus and fully open America's schools and the American economy."
